Our Story

In 2010, Pastor Maury Davis and Cornerstone Church in Madison, TN started a video campus in Bowling Green, KY. Pastor Davis would preach during the weekend services, and on Sunday morning the video of those messages preached would be played. Cornerstone Church made an incredible investment in this ministry from the start. Campus Pastors, Michael Metcalf and Bobby Gourley, gave great energy, leadership, and passion in leading this campus of Cornerstone Church in its first two years. In August of 2012, Pastor Davis approached his Executive Pastor, Dave Deerman, about the opportunity to become the Lead Pastor of a church plant out of the Cornerstone Campus in Bowling Green. Pastor Davis met with the adult congregation and by unanimous vote they welcomed the opportunity to plant a church that would reach Bowling Green and the Southern Kentucky region. In September 2012, Pastor Dave and Christy Deerman began CenterPointe Church. Pastor Davis and Cornerstone made an incredible investment by turning over all the assets that had been acquired to the new church plant. On New Year’s Eve of 2012, Cornerstone blessed the new church plant and sent them out to start a full gospel interdenominational ministry in Bowling Green. The church met in the Sloan Convention Center for six months, but now meets regularly at Seventh-Day Adventist Church, located at 1740 Cave Mill Road in Bowling Green, KY.
